Galveston

This summer we went to Galveston, TX.  Before we even got there, a day before, we went to CaliNails and got our toe nails done.  Briley got hot pink with blue dots, and I got blue with hot pink dots.  Mom got pink-ish/orange-ish color.

Finally, we were in the Gulf at Galveston.  It took us a while to find which beach we were going to.  We had all these different places in mind and we finally decided to go to Crystal Beach.  There were lots of people up and down the sand.  We got to take a ferry to Crystal Beach and the ferry wait was L O N G. 

Summer's HERE!

So, I asked Madi if she wanted to sleep over.  Her mom said yes.  After our sisters' game, we played in the pool.  My mom asked to take a picture of us jumping in together. 

Madi and I got to be friends this year.  I saw her when we were in the library reading, but we didn't even know each other.  My mom suggested that we read together for reading counts points.  Then she moved into my class from second grade.  I thought that was pretty cool.  She moved into our class because she was at a third grade math level.  Then we just became really good friends.

Day at the park

We were at a park with our little cousin, Whitley.  We all went down the slide.  I understood what we were doing, posing for a picture for everybody.  Briley & Whitley thought it was a sliding time.  We also had a picnic and an Easter egg hunt.  What was really funny about the Easter egg hunt was that Whitley got 13 Easter eggs; I got 12; and, Briley got 11.  Guess what?  11, 12, 13!

I really enjoyed spending time with my little cousin, Whitley, my grandparents and my aunt and uncle.

Flower and her new calf

You know my cow, Flower?  You know how she had a calf, Jimmy?  Well, she's had another calf.  Me and my dad decided that if it was a girl, we would name her any kind of flower.  If it was a boy, I was probably going to name it Tex or Rex or something like that. 

Flower's new calf's name is Iris.

You wanna know something that's really funny about all my calves?  They all have something to help pick them out of the crowd.  Flower is red.  Iris has a white spot on her belly.  Jimmy has strawberry blonde in his coat.

Iris is very funny.  There is this way out to a different pasture and instead of going that way, Iris ran up to the fence that seperates the two pastures.  She kept running into it until she realized there was a different path. 

I love Iris and I'll bet she'll love Flower and Jimmy. Now my cow family is almost complete!  It's like I'm the cow grandma to Iris and Jimmy; Flower is the mother.  That will complete it!

Basketball

This year I am playing Upward Basketball.  Our team is the lady wolfpack.  My number is 33.  My favorite part of basketball is shooting and playing with my team.  I also like having fun.  Whether we lose or win, I'm always having fun.  All my friends are really nice and one of my friends, Regan, is still learning some of the basics in basketball.  One of my friends, Kate, we don't get along very well.  We only get along when we agree with each other.  We don't get along when we don't agree.  We don't always agree about dribbling with our left or our right for most of the game.

Briley is also in Upward.  Her team name is the Golden Knights.  Her number is 2.  Every time she passes it, her leg kicks up in the air.  I think that's really hilarious.  Even if she loses or wins, she's always having fun.  She is the only girl on her team.  There is a boy on her team named Briar.  I think that's funny because we were going to name Briley Briar instead.  Her coaches have a son and I play with him in the game center during their games.
